I'm a member of the UCLA class of 2024 currently pursuing a B.A. in Linguistics and Classical Languages with a minor in Professional Writing and a specialization in computing (GPA 3.973). Before college, I graduated Cum Laude from Milton Academy, #8 on Business Insider's "The 50 most elite boarding schools in America," where I served as a peer tutor for three years, helping students with Latin, English, writing, and math.

I have studied Latin and Greek for a number of years now and have acquired qualifications including a gcse and a self taught A level in Latin [OCR] as well as the NLE introduction to Latin exam. I am happy to teach adults and children from seven years up [I can teach up to four children within a family] . My aim is to help the learner get a firm grasp on the fundamental basics of the language, taking them through and helping them memorise the grammatical concepts, and providing , if the learner wishes, exercises to help with translating. A free introductory lesson is available in which I can give the learner an idea of how the lessons could be structured.

I am a Classics graduate (BA and MA) from the University of Pisa, Italy, and the Scuola Normale Superiore. For some years now, I have taught Italian, Latin, Ancient Greek (including New Testament Greek) to a wide range of students, from primary school children to adult learners, for both private learning and school tuition. While I love talking about all aspects of Classical and Italian languages and cultures, I tend to be more in my element when it comes to dealing with grammar and translation technique, especially for literary texts. For this reason as well, I welcome students who need preparation for exams that require a reading of texts: AP Latin, but also the British exams such as Common Entrance +13, GCSE, IGCSE, A and AS Levels. As a tutor, I am not your teacher so I won't mark your work: in fact, I make a point of being professional and understanding, and providing you with a safe, non-judgemental space where you are free to make all the mistakes you need!
