Hi! I'm Katie, and I teach psychology, biology, and neuroscience here on TutorOcean and sometimes on Upwork. I offer free 15 minute sessions if you want to try me out. Where did you go to school? I'm currently master's student at Georgia Southern, getting a degree in Psychology with an experimental focus. I recently graduated from Georgia State University with a 3.9 (unweighted) GPA. I received a B.S in Psychology and a minor in neuroscience. Do you have any teaching exeperince? Yes! During my first year at Georgia Southern, I was the TA responsible for teaching the biomechanical analysis of movement lab course. The course was a bit outside my major, but the lab was mostly teaching students how to use excel to make graphs, something I had experience with from my undergrad stats classes. When I was at Georgia State, I was a an SI Leader, which is a type of undergrad TA for courses with a higher than average fail rate. I ran twice a week additional lecture sections for Introductory Biology students for two semesters. I also have experience as a tour guide at Science Gallery Atlanta, a combination science museum and art gallery. I worked there for two exhibits. My first was Hooked, which was on addition and it's effects on the greater community. My second exhibit I worked on was Justice, which focused on how economics, race, gender, sexual orientation, and other aspects of identity can impact justice in the U.S. Wait, you said neuroscience? Psychology is my major, so it is what I am most qualified for, but I have taken 15 credit hours of neuroscience classes at Georgia State to get my minor in neuroscience. I cannot tutor you on higher level neuroscience classes, but intro to neuroscience, principles of neuroscience, and drugs and behavior are courses I am qualified to teach.

Hello. My name is Emi. I am from Fukuoka, south of Japan, and currently live in Tokyo, and work at the office. I have a university degree in economics and have worked for over 20 years in several companies, building good relationships with colleagues and clients. In my mid-30s, I joined an art college and completed a master's degree in Art Studies. I am currently enrolled in a graduate program, writing my doctoral thesis on Spanish paintings. I also work as a university tutor helping students with their studies. Based on my experience, I can offer lessons for everyday life, business or office, academic contexts like university classes, and so on. The basic style of my lessons is mainly conversational, sharing and discussing experiences and knowledge on a variety of topics such as everyday events, work and study, cultural and scientific events, news articles, etc. The major goal is for you to master and be able to use expressions appropriate to the context and to be able to understand correctly what others say (what is written), and to convey your ideas and thoughts more effectively. To achieve this, I also focus on grammatical structures and patterns, if necessary. Learning about sentence structure will also help you to understand what the other person says (or writes) correctly. And I can also support those who want to enjoy essays or novels written in Japanese. Reading texts written by Japanese also gives you an insight into our culture and way of thinking and allows you to learn more vocabulary and expressions and how to use them effectively. Lastly, lessons are conducted in Japanese, but I can also understand English, although not fluently, so you can use English if you have difficulty expressing yourself in Japanese. Thank you for reading to the end. If you are interested in my lessons, please feel free to contact me. I would be happy to help you improve your Japanese language skills and enjoy Japan and its unique culture!
