English Teacher

Do you want to become a confident English speaker? Now you can practise your speaking and listening skills in a safe and supportive setting with me. Speaking is the most important English skill to acquire. By using the online classroom, we can create role play settings such as the airport, Business meeting, Shopping or meeting and making friends! I can guide you through these scenarios and help you with commonly used expressions and vocabulary so that you can gain confidence in speaking English. Listening is the second most important skill! Conversation is a two-way process and by listening regularly to a native English speaker you will improve your understanding of the language. As a teacher I am able to adjust the vocabulary and delivery speed of my speech to suit your level so that you can understand and respond. I also have a great selection of songs that will help develop your listening (and singing!) skills. Finally, by regularly listening to, and speaking English, so your pronunciation will naturally improve. If there are particular problems with pronunciation, such as certain letter sounds, intonation or word stress; I have a range exercises that we can also work on together to help your speech be understood. I have had 20 years of experience in teaching English but as my online presence is relatively new, I am offering an initial lesson at no charge so that you can decide for yourself whether to continue with me as your Tutor. Hope to hear from you very soon!

Enthusiastic and Experienced GCSE/iGCSE Mathematics Tutor

"Everyone can do mathematics" - That's what I believe and I want to help you believe it too and achieve your potential. I can help you to take what you do know and build on this to build your confidence and grades. I love my subject and believe that anyone can do mathematics with the right help. I believe that students need to not only be able to do the maths, but have an idea of how it works. I try to help my students not only increase their skills but to also increase their confidence in their own ability. I enjoy helping students to develop their mathematical understanding and to achieve their learning goals. I can confidently teach GCSE maths from grades 9 to 1 (or A* to G if you still think in those terms). I am a UK qualified mathematics teacher with over a decade of classroom teaching experience. I am familiar with the National Curriculum and GCSE/iGCSE requirements and can look up others. I will work with you to provide a bespoke programme to improve your mathematics skills, proficiency and confidence. I love mathematics and you can too. I have run my own mathematics department where I was responsible for writing and developing schemes of work in line with the curriculum. I am a versatile teacher with the ability to present a concept in several different ways as I have a solid understanding of mathematics. I have also marked examination papers and moderated coursework for GCSE Statistics so I have insight into how examination boards work.

Hi! My name is Sarah, I am a saxophonist of 13 years and a recent college graduate with a degree in music education. I have tutored subjects such as music theory, music, and writing online for almost a year this upcoming fall. The Best Academic Coaching

I can provide affordable coaching sessions in the following areas: study skills, college application, transition from high school to college, from school to work, course selection, responsible decision making, and making effective educational goals. I improve study skills by identifying students' learning styles by testing, creating an effective study schedule and plan that meshes well with other priorities, gives adequate time to retain information, and works best for the student, introducing effective memorization techniques such as mnemonic devices, establishing student accountability, using effective note taking strategies such as the Cornell method, emphasizing the importance of daily revision to retain information and avoiding cramming when tests are approaching, creating goals that align with the students' study plan and monitoring consistency, maintaining organization, and engaging in all pertinent assignments and readings to become a successful test taker and maintain a good grade point average. It is my destiny to prevent students from dropping out of school. As most students do not get the desired individual attention from their guidance counselor/academic advisor because he or she can manage up to 400 students, I am always available and an appointment never has to be set for assistance. College is sink or swim and I want all of my clients to become a shark. My motto is be the best as you pursue success.
