Engaging Math Tutor for all Levels!

Hi there! My name is Dishani. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science. I have scored a 90 throughout my entire education, and I am motivated to pass down my knowledge to help students accomplish their goals! I have also won a Math Olympiad competition at the district level. My teaching strategy includes breaking down difficult problems and applying them through formulas. I am also knowledgeable of different tricks that can make multiplication or division easier. For example is the number 123456 is divisible by 4. Well yes but what we do here instead of dividing the whole number by 4 we divide the last two digit i.e 56 by 4 and hence get the answer. If you have any math related questions, send me a message. We can have a free 15 minute session to discuss what works best for you. Best of luck!

Can work well with people of all ages, backgrounds and learning limitations

I always enjoy tutoring. I would tutor friends or community members in need for free under my own time. I can teach several areas in elementary, middle school and high school levels, including math and sciences. I am a second year undergraduate student at the university of Windsor, double majoring in psychology and disability studies. I have always strived for excellence and I have a 78.7 GPA. I have several learning limitations myself so I can understand the struggles of school for all children especially ones like me with learning limitations, but I can motivate and teach in a way the student will best understand and together we can communicate and achieve the goals the student set out for! I am also great at organizing and breaking down your work to make it look not as stressful, especially when studying for test, it can be overwhelming and I am here to help! Do not hesitate to reach out if you're in need of a tutor - I would be happy to arrange a free consult to hear about where you are in your studies, and discuss how I can help you achieve the best grades possible! Please feel free to reach out if you have questions about my experience, subjects of expertise or if you have an inquire about a subject I have not listed that I can teach, as I am skilled in several more subjects than those listed!

Experienced UCLA senior specializing in English/Writing! 5 years' experience-- all grades/levels

Hi! I'm a senior at UCLA and in my sixth year of full-time postsecondary education (I really like school). I'm going for my Bachelor's in Anthropology. I love tutoring and helping as many students as possible, no matter their age. I'm experienced with K-12 and college students. I'm a Debate teacher for kids age 8 and up, doing after-school and full-time summer camps, for which I independently plan the curriculum and lessons we cover. Besides for that, I'm a Writing tutor at a community college; I have one-on-one sessions with students, and I also attend beginner's English courses as an embedded tutor where I assist the teacher in the classroom (or Zoom room). We are now doing them REMOTELY, so I know how this works. In the past I volunteered with Reading Partners of Los Angeles, tutoring elementary school children from underserved communities. I was also captain of my college's Speech & Debate team and taught my teammates about the art of competitive debate. Prior to those, I managed several restaurants where a large part of my duties was to train crew members and develop new managers-- I did that for about 4 years. Plus, I was a camp counselor all throughout high school!

I got into 3D art when I was 9 years old, now I teach people of all ages all around the world how to use Blender to design and model their own ideas.

13 years ago I started making small (honestly, kinda ugly) videogame prototypes with Blender. Now I've been teaching modeling and general 3D for three years and I can share my fascination with CGI and free software with everyone, from elementary school children, to professional programmers, to retired photographers. I believe in teaching not only the usage of the tools, but the theory of how they work, so that you can then understand new or unknown tools much easier and become self-sufficient. For that, we'll dive into some specifics of the mechanism that are working in the background while we build a series of projects and get out hands dirty. I believe the best way to internalize the knowledge is to practice, so I try to guide students towards small assignments that emphasize the techniques we learned while allowing for the creative expression that any art teaching should promote. That _is_ why we're here, after all.
