For my service, I created and taught biology lessons to 3rd-grade students participating in an after-school program. Being able to see the student's sense of accomplishment when they understood what was being taught and realizing how cool science could be further solidified my love for teaching. In my senior year of college, I became a Teaching Assistant for an Introduction to Biology course. In this role, I taught weekly biology lab sessions and guided students as they completed their assignments.
