Experienced tutor in English, French and Humanities

I am currently pursuing my PhD and have an MEd, an MBA and an MA. My MA is in French Literature, and I also have a BAH in French, which makes me suitable for tutoring French. I have experience in teaching languages in small groups or one-on-one, with the aid of numerous online platforms and tools. Lessons would include conversational practice, reading and writing. I create all my own workbooks and develop workplans that are adapted to the student's needs. I provide session reports after each session and communicate regularly with the student or the parent/guardian so everyone is aware of the progress being made. I also use a variety of online tools for teaching, including Google Suite, Eraser, Metro Retro and Kumospace.

*Currently Accepting New Students!* Friendly and Passionate English/Creative Writing/ESL Tutor with 8+ Years in Creative Writing.

Hello! I'm Yona, and I'm a University of Toronto student specializing in English/Creative Writing/Education! I have always loved teaching English to others by using the most fun and engaging methods. I was an AP English student in high school and am familiar with writing expectations for formal and close-reading analysis essays. I also have over 8 years of experience in creative writing and self-web publishing. When I teach, I love providing my students with feedback on their work and watching them absorb and improve the next time. I have experience teaching writers from various age groups, cultural backgrounds, writing styles, interests, and skills over the past 4 years. I have also interned at various Japanese high schools and kindergartens as an English teacher, so I have experience teaching English as a second language as well. I strongly believe that there is no right or wrong in writing. It is all about how you explore and express your creativity and ideas. I am simply here to guide you through the technical details to help you better express such ideas and grow as the individual writer you aspire to be! If you feel that we'll be a good fit, please feel free to message me! I look forward to our time together and working with you! :)

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, the learning process becomes much easier.

I'm currently pursuing my graduate degree in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry from the University of Toronto. I completed my Bachelors of Technology in Chemical Engineering from VIT University, India. Throughout my undergrad, I have been a core and later on a board member of AIChE, during which I have participated in quite a few K-12 events that involved going to schools around my university and teaching STEM subjects to the students there. Though, I have a number of favorite subjects, Maths, English, Physics and History are among the ones I feel most confident about mainly because these have been favorites since school. I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, then the learning process becomes much easier and faster. In my opinion, with the world advancing at a rapid rate, the importance of education is clearly very evident and so is the act of gaining and imparting knowledge as it allows us to comprehend and question all that is happening around us. I try to utilize my free time by watching anime, reading some fiction and listening to true crime podcasts.
