I am Dr. Alam, a professor of bioinformatics from Bangalore, India.
I have been teaching different subjects in Bioinformatics like Computer Aided Drug Designing, Molecular Modelling and Simulation, Cheminformatics and QSAR, Machine Learning, Bioinformatics Algorithm, Data Analytics, R Programming, Unix and Linux, Next Generation Sequencing, Computational Biology, Clinical Database Management, and Systems Biology since 2009.
I speak English, Hindi and Urdu to teach.
I completed my PhD degree in bioinformatics from the Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan (Himachal Pradesh) in 2009. I have 11 years of teaching experience at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and 4 years of online teaching experience as well as 19 years of research experience in bioinformatics. I have 24 research publications in reputed journals, 21 conference proceedings, and 2 book chapters. I have delivered 30 invited lectures at national conferences, seminars, and workshops.
I love my teaching profession as I love myself.
My lesson plan covers aims, objectives, and outcomes, and I deliver very diligently in such a way that the learner must understand the lesson efficiently. My teaching methodology includes presentation, demonstration, observation and explanation, question and answer, discussion. For this, I use Google Classroom as well as the associated platform technology for teaching.
My area of expertise includes computer-aided drug design, genomics, and proteomics. I have trained hundreds of students since 2009 in bioinformatics. I have supervised two Ph.D. students, 23 M.Tech. Projects, 47 B.Tech. projects, and 3 foreign interns in the field of bioinformatics. I am also a certified digital teacher with the ICT Academy and a committed mentor at different organizations like TeacherOn, Superprof, Teachnook EdTech, and the Nano Science and Technology Consortium (NSTC).
