About

My name is Naima Raza and I am an Intermediate-Senior (grades 7-12) Teacher Candidate with Geography and History teachables, currently completing my first year of the Masters of Teaching program at the University of Toronto. I am skilled in differentiated instruction, student-led learning, and critical pedagogy. In my first teaching placement, I designed and taught lessons for Grade 10 History, Grade 12 World History, and Grade 10 Civics courses to fellow teacher candidates using a variety of individual, group, and whole-class teaching strategies. In my second teaching placement, I designed and taught two units for a Grade 9 Geography and Grade 12 World Issues split classroom using inquiry-based learning. I delivered asynchronous, in-person, and virtual lessons using Zoom, Brightspace and Google platforms.
