About
Young Artists School of Piano is founded by Jennifer Hua Lan who has received her music education in the Arts College of Jilin, China. After serving for 10 years in China's Central Ensemble of National Music in Beijing, Jennifer Hua Lan immigrated to Canada in 1989. She continued her piano studies with Prof. Douglas Voice at the University of Ottawa. In 1996, with the support of Prof. Douglas Voice as the Honorary Music Director, she founded the Centerpointe Music Academy which since then became one of the leading private music institutions of the Capital region. For over 20 years, Jennifer has continuously been sending students to RCM examinations every year. Many of her students achieved 100% on theory exams and some have reached first place in Ontario in piano exams (silver medal). Jennifer's students are active in piano competitions with achievement of first place in Kiwanis Music Competition and reaching provincial and national final at the Canadian Music Competition. Young Artists School of Piano is a new addition to the region of Ottawa to meet the growing expectations of young piano students.
