About

My name is Aubrey and I am a BSN, RN currently working in Postpartum/Antepartum. I have also worked in the past as a Labor & Delivery Nurse. I hold two Bachelor's degrees, one in Nursing and one in Psychology, from Texas State University and The University of Texas at San Antonio, respectively. Prior to becoming a Registered Nurse, I was a Patient Care Technician in Neurology and Postpartum for 3 years. I graduated with a 4.0 with both of my degrees, passed the Next-Generation NCLEX (NGN) in the minimum number of questions on my first attempt, and scored in the 99th percentile nationally on the ATI TEAS nursing entrance exam. I have 3 years of experience as a nursing tutor, where I have provided one-on-one and group sessions both in-person and online to over 500 students. I have tutored subjects such as A&P, Med/Surg, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Fundamentals, Critical Care, Maternal/Newborn, Pediatrics, and more, as well as preparing for the NCLEX, TEAS, and HESI exams. Prior to becoming a nursing tutor, I was a Peer Mentor for two years where I mentored over 250 first-year college students one-on-one about social, emotional, and academic issues they were facing. With my experience as a mentor and tutor and my own experience as a nursing student, I am keenly aware of what it takes to be successful in college academically and socially and the barriers to success many students face. I am extremely passionate about building relationships with you and inspiring you to be the best nursing students and future nurses you can be. Along with study and test-taking skills, I can also help you with your time management and note-taking skills to assist you in reaching your highest potential.
