I am a passionate and dedicated language educator and tutor currently residing in Pretoria, South Africa. Throughout the years, I've had the privilege of living in various locations within South Africa and spending three years abroad in Canada. English is my native language, and I am also fluent in Afrikaans. Recently, I also started learning French, giving me firsthand insight into the challenges and joys of mastering a new language.
Beyond my linguistic pursuits, I hold a BSc degree in Human Movement Science and Physiology, as well as an Honours degree in Kinderkinetics. Alongside my academic achievements, I am a FIG Qualified Gymnastics Instructor, reflecting my commitment to both intellectual and physical development.
In my spare time, I enjoy different activities such as watching gymnastics, exercising, playing with my dogs, and reading good books. This sense of fun-loving adventure extends to my teaching approach, where I consistently embrace new opportunities to learn and grow.
For over a year, I have been teaching and tutoring students in various subjects, with a particular focus on English. My dedication to this field is rooted in my belief that each person is unique and possesses immense potential. I enjoy meeting individuals from different countries, learning about their cultures, and helping them navigate the intricacies of the English language.
I have completed a 120-hour TEFL certification with distinction, qualifying me to teach English to foreign language students. I am also in the process of doing an IELTS course, which will help me prepare students for these exams.
In my teaching approach, I prioritize structured lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student. I firmly believe that having a fun, interesting, and engaging learning environment is crucial for mastering any language.
