About
Helping students find their voice and showcase their knowledge is the centerpoint of my tutoring philosophy. I firmly believe that each and every student has something to share and with the right guidance, their writing can stand out and make a mark on their peers and teachers. Through student-centered tutoring, I aim not to just focus on the specific assignment at hand, but to build my students' writing and editing toolbox.
My experience:
- I've tutored at the collegiate level for three years, working with Barrett Honors College students at ASU. In this position, I support students writing assignments for classes, internship and scholarship applications, as well as honors theses.
- I support several ASU faculty as a copy editor, providing feedback on material prior to publication. I am proficient with MLA, APA, and Chicago Styles.
- I served as the features editor for Normal Noise Magazine for two years and now serve as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the publication.
- At ASU, I study Sustainability. In addition to my writing and editing proficiencies, I have three years of experience with environmental science, history, and politics.
