I tutor maths, physics, chemistry, Latin, and Spanish; ACT, SAT, and SSAT.
Our first 30 min. are free.
What I meant above is that, in my experience, when we know the basics of a topic/start from a framework, we learn more thoroughly, remember more consistently, and generally have a better time engaging with a subject. I request of my students, "Please don't agree with me, ever, unless I ask you to." Instead, let's build from the ground up, staying on the same page as we head toward a goal or explore an idea. More fulfilling than asking "what?" is asking "why?"
