About

I have been an Instructional Aide at ASU’s School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences for the last four terms, and will continue in my current role offering guidance on proof-writing for math and computer science majors this summer and the upcoming fall. I also have experience tutoring middle- and high-school students in high school mathematics classes, both remotely and in person. Currently, I am an undergraduate researcher in ASU’s DragoonLab, which has received recognition for its advances in math and science education technology. I work with Topomath, which is a system currently being used in research to teach systems of equations in a spatial, intuitive manner. I’m experienced using technology to enhance existing math curricula for students at all experience (and interest) levels with mathematics. I firmly believe that mathematics is an exploratory and creative field. Moreover, I believe that math is for everybody. I used to hate math, but my time in my high school and middle school math clubs taught me the joy of pursuing recreational math. Paraphrasing Erdös, math is a social enterprise, and should be experienced in such a collaborative manner.
