About

Due to Li Yen's outstanding CIE IGSCE results of full 8A*s, she was awarded a 50% scholarship from Methodist College Kuala Lumpur where she studied CIE A Level. She managed to achieve 2A*s and 2As while being the President of the Environmental Club and the Health & Environment Chairperson of the Leo Club in college. Li Yen has also been involved in several college competitions where she was awarded 1st Place in a Pennant Design competition and a mural art competition, and coming in 3rd Place in an Environmental Invention Competition. The balance between excellent academic achievement and being strongly involved in extra-curricular activities secured Li Yen with a full ASEAN Undergraduate Tuition Fees Scholarship to Victoria University of Wellington. Now, Li Yen is currently studying a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Physical Geography. Li Yen is a big lover of the environment, which explains the chosen field of study. She has done numerous events under the Environmental Club and Leo Club such as organising a Herbal Garden Planting project and being a committee member for the Plasticman Project (exchanging plastic bags for recycled bags in college and a shopping mall). Currently, Li Yen volunteers as much as she can during her free time. She is a regular volunteer for Conservation Volunteers, Victoria University's Fruits and Vege Co-op and many more.
