We are developing software to identify necrosis in meningiomas and glioblastomas using
computational methods supported by data-driven techniques and neuropathology expertise.
This software is for doctors at the NIMHANS, India. The development is being conducted
at the Machine Intelligence and Robotics Center Lab at the IIIIT Bangalore.

We developed a deep learning model that combines domain knowledge with convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to detect necrosis in meningiomas. This meningioma-trained model is also capable of identifying necrosis in other brain regions (LLG/GBM). The model achieved an accuracy of 97% on meningiomas, 93% on GBM, 100% on LLG.
