I am a certified teacher/tutor with 14 years of teaching experience. I taught Accounting for 8 years in Jamaica and English for 6 years in Japan. I have a master's degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and a BSc. in Accounting and Psychology. I specialize in all exam preparations including EIKEN, Business English, English for Academic purposes and general conversation. As a teacher, I believe most of my work is to be done outside of the classroom, be it a virtual or physical classroom. My lessons are usually well-prepared and mostly student-centered. I design and adapt materials that are both appropriate and challenging to my learners. I listen to my students and use their own interests to make the lessons more relatable and interesting. If you'd like, we could do a cooking lesson to learning English (I have done this in the past). English is a tool and great resource to have, it is not just a subject. I am passionate about teaching and ready to help you achieve your goals. Conversational topics we could enjoy together includes solo travelling or travelling in general , cooking and sharing recipes and cultures.
