Tutor Information

About

I was a member of the student council in freshman and sophomore year. My duties involved selecting and working with students of the lower grades to train for inter school competitions such as the ‘SpellBee’ and coordinating sports and cultural events. Organising these events, mentoring the students, looking for course material to study, making practice cards and anchoring practice sessions helped build my management skills and ability to communicate with younger kids. I was able to engage and really help out my mentees attain their full potential and in some cases overcome their stage fright as well.I have also worked with my dance teacher and helped the younger students prepare for their dance exams. I volunteered at the local church summer camp where I was involved in organising and engaging in educational and recreational activities with kids of various ages. I have a younger sister and very often I help her and her friends with their school assignments and homework too. I am easy to talk to and am very committed to my work. I enjoy working with younger kids and helping them release their full potential. That is why I think I will be a great tutor-mentor.
