For a semester I served as the student coordinator of my college's Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) program. In this role, I was tasked with coordinating meetings with a group of mentors and mentees, leading discussion and providing any assistance and/or insight to faculty within the office. I retained my original responsibilities as a mentor within the program as well, meaning I was responsible to provide assistance, advice and in some instances direct peer tutoring to my mentees. I was also tasked with creating promotional materials for on-campus events and programs.

There is no glory in being a delivery boy, however, I am including this to demonstrate an ability to manage multiple work responsibilities at once during a calendar year. I am also including this to demonstrate the fact that I remained employed as a full-time essential worker throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and maintained the ability to support myself and others, even in less than ideal circumstances

January 2019 - May 2019Internship with Student Newspaper
After spending a semester as volunteer contributor, I interned for the student newspaper of Wagner College as a full-time staff writer. In this position, I operated as a reporter for multiple departments within the paper, focusing mainly on sports, politics and on-campus events. Reporting required extensive note-taking, self editing skills, collaboration with editors, the ability to meet a deadline.

June 2017 - August 2018Camp Leader for Township Summer Camp Program
As camp leader, my role was to act as an intermediary between campers, counselors and upper management. Responsibilities included but were not limited to: Managing up to 30 adolescents at once, and more on multiple occasions. Advance planning of daily tasks and activities. Conflict management/de-escalation as well as taking disciplinary actions. Responding to any questions, comments or concerns of parents, as well as other staff members. Quick thinking and improvisational skills as well as requiring an overall ability to keep campers engaged and entertained.
