I am a very approachable person. After my PhD I was a professional scientist at Leicester University doing research on the enzyme DNA Gyrase, which supercoils DNA. Astronomy is my hobby (together with playing the saxophone and observing frogs and newts in my pond). I have no other commitments beyond being a tutor, so can devote all of my energy to it. I achieved A Levels in Chemistry (grade A) Physics (grade A) and Biology (grade A) in 1980 at Southwell Minster Grammar School.

Greetings! I am a retired Chemistry Professor and have taught basic chemistry for close to 25 years. I've taught chemistry to Nursing students, Pre-Med students, and Chemistry Majors. Most of my teaching has been in a classroom setting but I have taught courses online and have also tutored students online. My favorite aspect of teaching is working with students on a one-on-one basis. I strive to show students how to solve a problem using a step-by-step approach.
