Hello! My name is Abby, and I've been tutoring and teaching for 3 years now. I've been an online tutor with Varsity Tutors since 2020, where I mainly teach ACT/SAT test prep, K-12 English, and college application essay writing. After graduating from university in May 2021, I also began working as a classroom teacher. During the summer of 2021, I was a 4th and 5th-grade reading and math remediation teacher for summer school. And for the past two school years, I've been teaching 7-12th grade English at a secondary school in Spain. In Spain, I also do private English tutoring for many families, with children ranging in age from 5 to 11 years old. My tutoring philosophy is to provide students with the learning strategies they need to master information in their studies and to foster lifelong independent learning skills. I want to help students be passionate about their education, so they have self-motivation to improve. I mainly teach K-12 English, ACT/SAT test prep, and essay writing.
