I believe that students learn best by doing. Because of this, I like to ask guided questions to help the student along as they work through math problems to help them think of it as a step-by-step process and to allow them to better understand the why behind each step. I believe this method allows the concepts to stick with the students better than if i were to just give them a tutorial of how to do a problem.
