Experienced Math and Physics Tutor

I completed an honours Bachelor of Science, with a double major in Mathematics and Physics, at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, from 2017 to 2021.

During the fall 2021 semester, I was a teaching assistant for the university course MATH 122 : "Calculus for Management" at McGill. My duties included running weekly tutorials and marking exams.

During summer 2021, I was awarded the NSERC Undergraduate Summer Research Award. I worked with Professor Inna Bumagin on algorithmic problems in relatively hyperbolic groups and on studying hierarchically hyperbolic groups.

During summer 2020, I was awarded the NSERC Undergraduate Summer Research Award. I worked with Professor Inna Bumagin on studying relatively hyperbolic and acylindrically hyperbolic groups.

During the summer of 2019, I was a recipient of the NSERC Undergraduate Summer Research Award, which is an award that provides funding to undergraduate science students to work with a faculty member during the summer. I worked with Professor Jason Crann on studying boundaries of tensor networks and their applications to quantum information theory.

During summer 2018, I worked as a summer student in the insurance strategy department at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). My responsibilities included performing data entry and organizing data, doing testing on mortgage approval software, and working on various programs in SAS related to assessing the risk of lending money.

At Carleton University, I have held various teaching assistant and instructor positions from September 2017 to April 2021. These positions include: - Math Enrichment Instructor (September 2017 to April 2018): for the math enrichment program "Math Adventures" targeted at students in grades 3 and 4. - Math Enrichment Teaching Assistant (September 2018 to April 2021): I graded homework assignments and tests for various mathematics and physics enrichment courses at Carleton University targeted at high school and middle school students. - University Teaching Assistant (September 2020 to April 2021): I was a teaching assistant for honours second year calculus (MATH 2000) and abstract algebra (MATH 2100) university courses at Carleton University. My duties included running tutorials and marking assignments.

From fall 2015 to fall 2020 I was a math and science tutor. I tutored students in mathematics and science at various levels from middle school to the undergraduate university level.
