An aspiring Secondary Mathematics teacher

This is a 5-year program. The first 3 years of the program are the Bachelor of Science in General Mathematics and the the last 2 years are the Bachelor of Education in Secondary Mathematics. I am in my 4th year right now, having completed by Bachelors of Science in General Mathematics.

• Planned, coordinated, and led various STEAM activities for campers from various age groups to encourage learning through inquiry and discovery • Collaborated with another camp leader to guide learning activities for students by utilizing technologies, including SmartBoard and iPad • Encouraged campers’ participation through meaningful interactions with them to foster their interest in activities • Assisted Education team by monitoring campers’ activities all times to ensure a safe and healthy environment based on COVID-19 guidelines

• Tutored Math to Grade 7 and 8 students and tutored Physics 20 in a synchronous online learning format using Zoom and other online resources to create an inclusive learning environment • Planned individualized lessons for students with diverse learning needs to provide academic support • Guided students to solve problems by asking essential questions rather than simply showing them the solution to foster a better understanding of the topic covered • Fostered meaningful relationships with students and parents through effective communication to support students’ learning
